A hopeful documentary about the courage to envision a better future through clean technology, and the dedication to get there, by a group of college students in Portland, Oregon.
“Make It Green” is a look at the creative, intellectual, and physical power that lies behind every idea, innovation, and small business. It tells the story of the people who ask “why not?”; who risk failure, criticism, and sleep to move their ideas from the realm of theory and into the realm of actuality. The students in this film remind us of the exciting opportunity we have to solve the issues that mostly we have created. It is a look into the growing field of clean technology and hints at the changing way we relate to both nature and tech.
The film follows the participants of a local clean technology competition as they develop their projects over the course of a summer. Each one of them hopes to win a grand prize of 10k which will give them a chance to continue development and production of their clean technologies. Set in Portland, Oregon, “Make It Green” displays how local support and
encouragement are the key ingredients in growing big ideas from the seeds of curiosity,
insight, and talent.
